The Association held on June 18, 2002 in Geneva, Switzerland its first of a planned series of Round Tables Meetings. Led by emma’s Chairman Jacques N. Couvas, it was attended by executives of 15 member organizations. The participants discussed the most important issues affecting the industry and recommended actions for ensuring user terminal supplies and infrastructure vendor commitment to continuing networks maintenance.

The Board of Directors of emma announced during the meeting the appointment of Mr. Bernhard Ramseyer to the Chair of the ERMES MoU Working Group.

The 2nd Round Table Meeting will be held on December 10, 2002 in conjunction with the Associations Annual Conference. Three Round Table Meetings are scheduled for 2003.
